If you love food, wine, and especially French travel, you’ve come to the right place.
I’m Christina Thiblet (pronounced Tee-blay), a writer and photographer who grew up beside the ocean and evergreen forests of Vancouver Island, Canada. Today, I call the French countryside home.
On the blog you’ll find recipes from my kitchen garden, stories of creative living and everyday life in France. You’ll even get a few adventures exploring the country with our two kids because of course we’re always exploring.
I first fell in love with photography while watching images appear like magic in a darkroom at 15. But it was my love of food, wine, and travel that brought me to France. I was welcomed by the colourful markets of Provence, the sometimes terrifyingly narrow and winding roads of the Côte d’Azur, and a wood-fired bread oven that opened the door to the French art de vivre. Here I found long meals, great wine, and so much more to discover.
Writing came out of the move to accompany my experiences. I followed sheep farmers, the hermit baker and winemakers as they opened the door to this new-to-me corner of the earth. These moments told the stories I wanted to capture.
Today, I help food, wine, hospitality, and travel brands tell those stories through thoughtful photography. With a Fine Arts degree and years working behind the camera, I create images that invite people in and leave them wanting to experience it for themselves.
Whether I’m photographing an intimate winery, a seasonal recipe, or an artisan producer, my goal is always the same. To create images that feel honest, beautiful, and full of life.
Based in Fontainebleau and fluent in both French and English, I’m available for assignments throughout France, Europe, and beyond.
I’d love to help tell your story. Visit my contact page, and let’s create something beautiful together.
Bienvenue, and thank you for being here.
